FOUNDED IN 1930
A Rich Heritage of Scouting Tradition
Boy Scout Troop 68, was chartered in 1930 and has been sponsored by the Church of the Cross for 55 years.
Our troop is very active. We have at least one outing every month all year round. Our Scouts enjoy outdoor activities like camping, hiking and fishing. In addition to camaraderie and leadership, the boys learn and practice outdoor skills like camping, cooking, and orienteering on these trips. Our youth leaders plan varied activities and destinations each year. In addition to camping we also go hiking and backpacking, fishing, rock climbing, geocaching and attend High Adventure outings to places such as Philmont Scout Ranch and the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve. Our troop meetings are held most Monday nights at the Church of the Cross United Methodist. Meeting times are 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
